Major tourism plan is unveiled
for our peninsulas and islands.

Some of the most remote parts of West Cork are part of a new campaign being launched by Fáilte Ireland to bring more tourists to discover many of our most unspoiled locations.

Now, if they could just slide the peninsulas 100 miles to the right, there’d be sorted. 😝It’s a long way down for a weekend

Is any of it any help to us NO.

this is the only type of tourist they are looking for.
Fly them in, bus them around, feed them overpriced food, tuck them up in bed and fly them out

"Naturally some challenges exist, including the limited bed base currently outside Bantry and Kenmare, together with Castletownbere and Glengarriff, and the need to secure new routes into Cork and Kerry airports."

No taught of where their money is going to come from the next few years.
The ordinary Irish holiday maker.

It seems to me that have missed a trick here, they are focussed on marinas and boat owners and no mention of motorhomes or parking. Should Motorhome Craic be commenting on this strategy?

Definitely worth while making contact with them to inform them of the tourism possibilities that motorhomes, both local and continental, could also bring.

So, they're "targeting the ‘culturally curious’, the ‘great escapers’ and the ‘social energisers’ (millennials seeking quirky and authentic attractions)", isn't that us.

"some challenges exist, including the limited bed base currently outside Bantry and Kenmare", shur we bring our own.

FI should take a lesson from the Cobh experience, the town got over 4,000 bed/nights in 2018 from our community without putting two bricks together
