Is anyone using 48.ie mobile? If so what do you think of it? It's a very low price at 7.99 per month apparently covers calls and texts to any Irish network plus 100 GB of data.
Thanks,
Johnnymac

My 2 year contract with Tesco expired today, I've gone for the GoMo option at 12.99. Unlimited everything apparently. 30 day rolling contract.
Sim arrived promptly, I'll switch at the weekend.

Never heard of them, my experience is you get what you pay for, moved from vodaphone to eir approx 2 years ago, they had a €10 deal, worst move ever.

I agree with you Pat. However I have eir, we both do, and have had no major issues, with coverage etc. However their customer service must be the worst in the world, not that Vodafone is much better. Both are terrible in my opinion

I got a couple of SIMs with the opening offer of €9.99/month for the kids.
No complaints but I suppose they don't use them a whole lot for phone calls, they use them mostly for data, coverage has been fine so far. Used them in Portstewart in July no issues, 10GB roaming limit.

x 2.

I used the online form for cancelling, filled it in for five days in a row before they eventually called back.
The 30 days notice of cancellation does not start until they call you back, not when you fill in the form, I imagine it's same of you try ringing and holding for them, so there's no incentive for them to deal with it quickly.

Eventually cancellation went through, due to finish 21 of this month. Got an emailed bill last week for service from 21st on, will have to contact the bank to make sure their direct debit doesn't go through, no point contacting Eir about it.

I have two Gomo Sims. Have used them all over the country no problems. There coverage is as good as any other. All have blackspots.

I haven’t heard of 48.ie but it must coming up to a year since I switched from Eir mobile to GoMo, a different provider on the same network offering more data, unlimited in fact, for a fraction of the price. I’ve save a few hundred. No complaints.

I had contacted com reg last week who gave some information.
When i mentioned it to the not so kind Indian gentleman he said that they would end my contract on the first day i got through to them which was the 9th of August so 9th of October now.
I don't think you can cancel a direct debit as far as i know and maybe someone could tell me if you can im with bank of Ireland

On 365 on line it says you can only cancel the next direct debit payment subsequent ones can still be take out be debtors.
So it looks like EIR have to cancel it. I will ask when i go into the bank if theres someone there.😅

Apologies for off-topic,
With Permanent TSB you can manage your direct debits online, including cancelling them.

Don't worry about an age limit. You can fool them into thinking you're younger!
Simply start each sentence with either 'so' or 'so basically'.....

🤣. You should also sign up to Instagram and follow Kylie Jenner. And in general spend most of your day on Tik-Tok.

It's for students but apparently open to everyone. I'll double check today and I also think that it's pay monthly without setting up direct debits. I hope so.

The only reason these company's branch off and offer great cheep deals is they are then allowed by COM- reg
to provide NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

On the back of their office door's, is a poster that says THE CUSTOMER IS KING " f**k HIM "

Taken from credit card monthly in my case anyway, not direct debit.
