Stoney, I can only apologise again. I should have waited for a response from you or sent it on via a private message. I acted immediately to get his details removed upon getting word that this man wasn’t happy.

I have apologised to this person directly for the mix up. However, he is still prepared to help other people with similar problems so long as it's by private means.
Lesson learned so let's all move forward from here.

Just an update... Paolo is all cool about what happened. He is a really nice guy , and I’m so glad I found him. On even better news , my new circuit board and new modified front panel control board ( I can manually select between gas and 240v if I wish ) arrived on Friday,I installed it over the weekend and works perfectly... I’ll take this opportunity to thank all those on this thread, for with out you I would be looking at a £2000 bill for a new fridge... thanks again
Jay

This is the very reason why I sent a 'Private Message' to Daffysparks. I did not give permission for my message to be copied to this thread and if I had been asked I would have said NO!
It took me a lot of time and effort to find this guy and I have no problem passing on his details to individuals who may need and deserve it but I never intended for it to go Public.
Jaydog, I'm glad you are getting something out of it.

Stoney I have the exact same problem with my Fridge i.e. working on gas and 12V. And only intermittently and lately less intermittently on Mains Im satisfied the 240V element is ok checked fuses Etc.. Basically the same problem as described in this forum.
While my Fridge is RM 4505 model it seems to have the same control box.
Therefore I think it has to be the control box.
Could you you please PM me the details of the Italian guy that may be able to help.
I will treat the details with the respect you ask.

AES RM 4505 fridge problem

Udate. Fridge problem solved.

Now have a new control card and panel fitted. Fridge working perfect again.
Very easy to deal with Paolo and also very efficient .
The Panel is a good improvement on the original as I have more control ovet the Fridge and can see what is happening via the Led lights.
Thanks to Stoney and all the other contributions on the forum that helped me solve tbe problem and save a lot of money .
I must also add I found some of your other topics very interesting.

Fridge issue

Hi all, I have the same issue with a Dometic RM6505 where the mains will not connect. Works fine on gas/12v but not on ehu. Reading the posts think it may be the control board and wondered if someone could put me in touch with Paolo to get a new board please. Thanks in advance. Alan

Thanks but I don’t appear to be able to see it in my messages. As a newbie is there something I need to do to view it?

Hit the little ‘head and shoulders’ at the top of the screen, then hit ‘control panel’, then hit ‘private messages’, then select ‘inbox’

You need to have 15 posts before you can send or receive private messages. A necessary security prevention.
