For those of us who like to keep busy, there's always an odd job or two around the house and garden. So the first few weeks of lockdown saw plenty of minor maintenance being done.
As the weeks rolled by, it seemed everything on my list was ticked off.
Ha! Not so. I recalled that last winter, my timber shed walls seemed a little damp inside despite a good coat of Ronseal on the outside.
So I've just painted the INSIDE of my shed with Fencelife.
Beat that for a ludicrous waste of time and effort!

Funny that, because yesterday I was spraying the fence and was in and out of the shed. I thought, no one ever paints the inside but it's bound to help.

Will you let us know in 20 years if it helped, I may consider it then 😁

They say a woman’s work is never done totally disagree while the enemy is working from home I had to wash the floor this took up a lot of my leisure time normally I would be spread out on the settee watching my favourite daytime tv instead I had to do housework now that is a waste of a mans time

A lot of new sheds now come with a vapour barrier film between the outside timber and the framework
Saves having to paint it

Maybe ridiculous or dangerous I'm moving bees. I was replacing the fence and emptied a compost bin close to it. As I dug through it I was encircled with bees and had to make a hasty retreat. I have been digging more and more into it to establish the size of the hive. I think I have found it and it's only the size of your hand. I have been advised to move it only a few feet at a time so they will come back to it. Going to put it into an old square flower pot on its side so I can lift it every few days so relocate it. I have a spade underneath it at the minute waiting for them to settle. Going to throw a cloth over it to keep them at bay. Wish me luck

Good Luck with that 👍. I'm no expert but I did hear that too,3 ft or 3 miles is all they'll understand, that's a huge difference , weird isn't it

I did ring someone from a Government department. He was helpful enough but didnt come up with any great ideas. I read up on bees before I moved them and they have an amazing society. Very relaxing to watch.

I'll update you on the shed walls in twenty years time as requested. Make sure you're all sitting in a circle and holding hands, it'll be one knock: Yes, two knocks: No.
