I find if you put enough red wine in them the Winning noise goes away and you seem to get a good purr and if you top it up till the top it stops altogether like it’s asleep

Timing belt might be about to let go, you should start thiking about getting a replacement. Possibly a newer model with lower miles...

Don't go for PCP, that doesn't work out...
