Installed a black tank flush system, left it for the silicone to cure, tested it and all good. Nice to have working level indicators again, however, it looks so easy on YouTube on a nice driveway in the nice warm sun. It's a bit different lying on your back under the MH in a gravel yard, with freezing fingers in a howling wind....😂

Should have done it today the weather is great :D :D

Installed 2nd leisure battery at the back of existing one and routed wires across...very short run..

Good job John. I hope you ran those wire gauges by Daffy for compliance?

While passing it today I noticed a tree branch rubbing off one the side windows, so I decided to take it for a small spin along a private forest road.

You took a tree branch for a short spin Pat? 😳

It came automatically. As long as you book it, even if the first date is after your renewal date ten it should come automatically. I think you are supposed to get a refund when they cancel it on you but that takes forever.

The van is still on. Sorn from last November and I am going to Sorn the car at the end of he month and let my insurance expire on 5th May. It is on private land and only worth about £1500 so I am willing to take the fire and risk theft. My insurer put my car renewal up by nearly 20% for no reason even bough I have been with them for a few years and have 4 vehicles with them. I’ll let them ring me for the reminder like they did with the van (it did not go up much) and tell them to sling their hook. Some companies like Admiral are giving £25 back per month now and others following suit. I’m with Adrian Flux but will change if they are going to try to Jack my insurance up like that.

Thank's for that Gavin, maybe I will wait closer to the renewal time and then book it so as to stretch out the extension.

Elbow grease mostly. Plastic pot scrub and some Flash kitchen cleaner I found under kitchen sink.
Didn’t want to use any harsh chemicals or scrub too hard on the old plastic.

We have a large stowawy table that came as standard with the van but wanted something smaller when having a few drinks or tea etc without having to set up the larger table. This adjustable Lagun table arrived this morning. It comes minus the table top , but I have ordered a nice grey table top with rounded edges from IKEA...I had a table top laying around so using this till the new one arrives.

Its swivels to almost any position and you can adjust height, lock in position etc. When not in use stows away neatly at back of seat. Very well made bit of kit.

got a quote from Stuart's which may suite me at €335 fot Me and two childer. including their admin fee of €35
this is Dolmens The amount due this year is €437.00 incl our admin fee of €51.03 and 7% government levy. This premium includes free Breakdown Assist and Home Start Service as standard. We recommend this policy due to its cover and price.
they don't do two childer ,so have to take open drive.
Since Dolmen say I have to go trough a new policy procedure if I dont renue in June ,I may just as well change to a new company in July or August.

So, finally took it out for a spin around the block. Approximately 15 km. Just to give all the rubbers and bushes a workout. Clean the discs and then topped it off with diesel. Must say it also gave me a real desire for a trip. Roll on June 8th. 20 km limit then. That’ll get me to the beach plot. The weather will surely turn for the worst then 😝😝

Went to the limit of my 5km radius to the west, came all the way back close to the 5km limit to the east, stopped for diesel, stopped at the supermarket and came a longer way home than was strictly necessary.

At the end of all that I checked on the two new solar panels I bolted onto the roofbars yesterday to make sure everything is still OK, all good.
