A bit more info needed in order to figure out what is going on.

Did you disconnect the tap only or from a tee ?
Is it a pressurised system?

explain disconnected?
Is it the hot or the cold that's not working?.
did you take off the pipework? you may have cut off the supply.
Did you leave them open-ended? no back pressure to operate the pump.
what wiring did you take off? you may have broken the feed to the kitchen taps.
have you taken an earth wire from the chassis? there may be common earth to the sink and the shower especially if they are beside each other.
any, one or combination of all the above could give you a problem.
Try reconnecting everything and then take each item off one at a time and try the sink before you continue therefore finding which stopped the sink.
good luck let us know how you get on.

We had problems with only a dribble coming out of the taps caused by silt in the holding tank that blocked the sieve on the taps which resulted in increased pressure in the system that caused leaks at some of the joints. I just removed the silt and the sieves and all ok now.
