Hi just looking for some advice, I recently converted a van to my camper van, paid my vrt and recieved paperwork from revenue to confirm the change of vehicle category and that I now need to tax the camper to get my new logbook. As far as I am aware I can Not tax it with out insurance and I cannot get insurance when my book has not been changed over, has anyone any experience with this

Tell the insurance it is converted and registered and if they want proof send them the revenue letter.

You can Tax it without insurance, but not online you will have to go into your local motor tax office and tell them its the first time taxing as a motor home. It;s the insurance company want to see the tax book before they will insure the van.
