Yes nice looking van, but would cost a bomb to covert back to a Motorhome

Sorry, am I missing something here? €10,000 for a shell, another €10,000 wouldn't straighten that out and you will never have a original Motorhome.

I don't think it's being sold as a MH, it's more a classic sales / get noticed type van

I had one of those (a van ) 35 years ago. You wouldn’t get me to take one if I was paid. A horrible drive and loud out with the engine up beside you. Terrible in the corners with the wheels tucked up in under it. Imagine what it would be like with all the roundabouts we have nowadays

LOL you both sound like my Dad.

The beauty of such things are exactly the problems you both describe, to some people.

Well my take on that is if it needed 3 weeks welding, it was a ball of sh1t to start with that was pulled out from under the bushes, all the rotten interior was thrown away, a bit of welding a couple lt's of jcb yellow paint, a price tag of €10,000 and all it needs now is a sucker to buy it. when you are looking for that kind of money you need to be selling a good original van or Motorhome , that isn't a van or Motorhome . Sorry, that is the way I see it anyway

You read the advert then? I was just looking at the pictures and admiring an old vehicle of yesteryear. I'd no interest in actually buying it 😁

My point was, people buy old vehicles, they know they are crap compared to anything of today's standards. But they don't buy them for their air con or air bags. They buy them for the nostalgia.

Off to read the advert.....

Back in 1969 I drove a delivery van version, it was badged a Commer 2500, it was the version with sliding cab doors.
No seat belts and if you drove it too fast with the doors open there was a danger of falling out on sharp corners 😳

I thought the Commer walk through had the sliding doors and the 2500 had ordinary doors.
