Shot blasting and Soda Blasting services now available at Rusty Nutz.
Soda blasting is especially good for removing paint and rust from vehicle body panels without causing any distortion or harm, and also for engine cleaning. Soda blasting can also be used for removing paint from wood and also cleaning bricks, for example, old brick buildings.

I have read good reports of soda blasting on boats. I was looking for someone to do my boat (yacht sounds too posh) about 5 years back but nobody seemed to be in that business anywhere in the north.

Wanted to strip back the antifoul. I believe soda blasting is safe on grp (fibreglass). It is environmentally sound apart from the crap removed as far as I can tell. I might look into it again but not sure if the wheel bearings would be good for the round trip. The perils of salt water on trailer wheels.

Might be worth your while circulating a few yacht clubs, particularly if you can be mobile.

Yes Davy you're correct, it can be used on fibreglass. We are also mobile.

Thanks for the tip, I'll maybe do that 👍
