Just want to share this with you guys and gals.....in the middle of my first trip away and am thoroughly enjoying the experience (despite last night's storm).
Left home on Friday lunchtime, travelled to Milltown Malbay, Co Clare for an overnighter and went on a birdwatching event at Ballyallia Lake, just North of Ennis, on Saturday morning.
Travelled down to Tots Pub, Ballygurteen Cross, Co Cork to overnight on Saturday night. I must say, the hospitality there was second to none....so welcoming and helpful!
Sunday morning, went to another birdwatching event at The Gearagh, near Macroom. Was going to go down to the Aires in Cobh afterwards, but the weather started getting a bit dodgy and didn't really fancy being on the coast through that storm.
So! Overnighted in Blarney instead and came down to Cobh this morning and it's a brilliant place....weather glorious too!
Will head for home tomorrow (Galway/Mayo border) and stop at Bunratty Castle for lunch en route.
Think I could get to like this camping malarkey!
