Driving home to Wicklow town last night from St. Vincents hospital. Mirela was fidgeting around looking for something in and around her seat, " Oh no " she said....My Purse! ...I said I would ring my brother who is in hospital and ask if it was there...." No ".... " I remember now....I left it on the car roof whilst you went and paid the parking "...... Well....I just looked at her and said its gone for sure, better cancel bank cards etc. She asked if I could pull over and I did so as we approached Newtown Mount Kennedy....She hopped out and shreiked... " YESSSSS ".....Would you believe it, the purse was still on the damn roof!! Thank F$^k for roof rails....saved the purse from sliding off sideways!!!!

Told her to buy the lotto this weekend! :-)

Aren't you glad you still don't drive more than 5 mph 😂 or was it the weight of all the cash in the purse 😂

Probably the gold bars weighing the purse down! ....It's more the hassle of replacing bank cards, identity cards etc that was on our minds, Couldn't care less about the 50 grand that was in the purse

Mislaid my phone last night, got Maria's and started ringing it around the house to find it and got some shock when someone answered it. Daughter took it back to limerick by mistake :D

Also had a similar experience to John 25 years or so ago, we took the Kids to Pontins in Prestatyn and was going out of the complex when this Coloured Guy started running after us waving his hands in the air, at that time Coloured people were few and far between in Ireland and I never actually met one, I had to stop at the exit and he caught up with us and started knocking on the window, I rolled it down he was panting and hardly able to speak., it turned out I drove away with our camcorder on the roof, Fair play to him, the camcorder was worth more than the Bluebird we were driving.

Great story Pat

Those Bluebirds had great engines.....They rotted something terrible though which was common with a lot of jap stuff then.
