We’ve sold our beloved Motorhome but can’t find a replacement we had one but that’s another story have trolled the internet but can’t find just what we’re looking for ,there is nothing in n/I ,down south is TFD ,It seems the only place is across the water but again we would have to set aside £300/£500 to get it home we hVe seen a few that we would love to get but it’s the cost of bringing it over 🥴 sorry folks just having a rant ,will explain about the one we had to pull out off at a later date just a warning be aware of gumtree look deeply into what your buying before you do a deal

30000 for the van and 90000 for curing your withdrawal symptoms.

What more do you want!

Bear in mind that motorhomes tend to be cheaper in England than here so the price of a boat fare is usually worth it. Some of the dealers will give you a warranty through the likes of LTS in case its required.

Have seen a few which we like but it’s hard to really sus them out if you don’t get into them and we can’t afford to fly back and forward for every van we see ,but most of the van were looking at are up in years so you would think they would be ok

I would be looking across the water especially at this time of year - you could be waiting a long time otherwise. You can have several models lined up to view. Then if you do buy, treat it as a short break away checking everything out before you bring it home. I have done it may times with cars and some of the best purchases and short breaks were done with a one way plane ticket :-)

Still looking ,well I think I can tell you all about our lucky escape,we sold our Motorhome and started trawling through the usual sites ,and one jumped out at us a 2017 chausson 728 eb it had everything even a built in bbc look it up on YouTube this was the van for us ,and within our budget,so I rang and made an appointment to see it ,mayobridge Co Down so we went to look at it and yes it was all we wanted didn’t even haggle the price ,so we arranged to complete the deal the following weekend ,left £100 deposit the bloke who was selling it told us that he was doing a deal in Blackpool for a hotel and that they had bought a small villa in Spain and needed the money to go towards these establishments as they where selling up and moving to Blackpool ,so of we go home.we went to the bank and sorted out or money for the van on mon rang him on Monday night everything a
Was ok he ask me to ring him later in the week has he was waiting on a solicitor to call him about going to b/pool to sign for the hotel,I rang him on wed night and he told my he had got his call and had to go across the water could we leave it till the next weekend ,we’ll that was fine by me ,so we left it ,the following week I said to the wife I would give him a call so on the wed,s I rang his phone no answer I tried a few more times rang again thurs sent him text messages send him emails no answer so I said to the wife somethings not right here after trying a few more times ringing him no joy ,on fri the Brigid rang me and ask what you called the guy who we were dealing with so I give her his name she then told me that a bloke with the same name from mayobridge was arrested in Dublin port ,I’m sure you can see where this is going it so happens that the bloke who was arrested is the son of the guy who we where buying the van of eamon Harrison was arrested for money laundering and people trafficking and was linked in to those poor people who died in the container,On sun night we got an email saying that the van was ready ,he rang on Monday to see if we would pick the van up the following sat ,NO way where we buying that van I told him I didn’t want the van ,I didn’t even ask for the deposit back ,can you imagine having spent a lot of money and the next thing the police are at the door lifting it as it was probably bought with laundered money SO JUST A warning be very careful where and who you buy from look into the background of the van and the seller my son also done a vehicle check and the reg had been changed 3 times in two years 🤔 lucky escape

Nice to see our recently traded in MH for sale in Anchorpoint, looking shiny sparkling white.
I hope whoever buys it will be members of MHC and we get to see it again.

Looking forward to lots of trips in our new MH, home today after my total hip replacement operation last Friday.
Good time of year to have had it done with this miserable weather.
