It is a struggle to manage without power steering? Looks like most old vans don’t have it

I sold a Talbot recently it had no power steering and was very light. Always move the vehicle as you turn the wheel, its usually no problems.

Parking can be heavy, but once you're moving it's fine

You have to go back to old fashion driving practices. always have the wheels rolling,forward or backward before you turn the steering wheel and aim the wheels in the next direction you are going before you stop.
