Zig TX2000

Firstly I apologize if this is covered before but I can't find a search option, maybe I need new glasses.
I am installing a Zig TX2000 in a camper conversion for a friend. It is,I'm assuming it is a transformer and leisure battery charger.
So I downloaded the destructions from the net as follows,240v in,simple. Terminal 1,yellow wire,12V + direct to battery charge. Terminal 2,red wire,12V+ to system.Terminal 3,12v-,black wire, to battery.Terminal 4,black wire loop, 12V- to system. Not that that matters an earth is an earth.
Here is where the problem arises.
When I switch from leisure battery to Zig via a 3 way switch, regardless whether the Zig is switched on or off I still have power to system.
If I remove wire from terminal 1,12V+, I have power to system when I switch over to the Zig as I should and only when I switch it on .
Am I missing something ? Or as my name says, haventaclue what I'm doing ?

If you’re plugged into the mains the system will have 12v via the transformer regardless of the position of the zig switch.

Thank you JJF.
Thank you eirbus.I have that unit that he describes in my own caravan.
I didn't wire the van,and having a bit of difficulty working out how it was planned.
So I assume with terminal 1,yellow wire out of Zig to battery is power to fuse block from battery, power in through 1 and out through 2.
When unit is switched on,power from 240v through transformer to fuse block via no 2 terminal and trickle charges the battery via no.1 terminal.
