Atwood Confort3 Combi Boiler

Hi,

Have a 1996 Ford Herald Templar with an Atwood Confort3 combi boiler that gives me good hot water on mains hook up, but no warm blown air.

When trying to run it off gas, it sounds like it's firing and the green light on the control panel is on....then after a couple of seconds it goes out and the green light goes to red.

Had it in for habitation test yesterday, and even though the guy there tried propane gas on it and a cooker ring going, no joy.

The troubleshooting section of the manual says possible causes are a) exhaust pipe obstructed b) faulty check electrode c) faulty electronic board...

Anyone else had similar issues and if so, did you manage to resolve it?

Thanks

Kevin

Sounds like a thermocoupler, it is faulty and doesn't know the gas is lit so it will go to safety mode and cut the gas.

That would be my thoughts but I'm no gas expert.

Further to my original post, have been having another go today and couldn't see any flames at all. I THOUGHT I heard it firing up but, obviously not...not sure what the noises were....

If you have never used it on gas for a while do check that the inlet and exhaust are not blocked

Thanks for that, Sprinter.

Only had the van a couple of weeks, so don't know how long it hasn't been used on gas (I know, should have checked it before I bought it).

Will check the inlet and exhaust...
