After 20 years use it was time to spruce up the interior a bit.
Local guy did all the work, very good standard of work.
Also, new over-rugs made up from cardboard templates and had the edges braided/whipped by another local guy...... very pleased with the results......
Before & after shots below, even the dog approves...... Portstewart, here I come !

Keep it for now Martin, but if the right one comes along you’ll never know !

That’s the thing Paddy, I like the old thing..... and I wouldn’t hesitate to go anywhere with it as far as the mechanical side of things go....... but ‘her indoors’ is making noises about something called a ‘fixed bed’ !

If anyone wants the upholsterers details or for the guy who whipped/ braided the carpets then just get in touch via a PM. If anyone wants the upholstery guy have a look at their van and get a quote then you’re welcome to stop off at my place as it’s literally beside me, water EHU toilet emptying on site.
Very pleased with the results and I’ve no problem reccomending the lads work.

You have my sympathy Jon, Whilst the new one will have all the bells and whistles a few weeks down the road you will hear, I miss my old one ,such and such was a lot handier. As the mum said to boy who sat on the soap in the bath "Thats Life Boy"

It looks great.

There's no such thing as an old camper; it's a classic.

Might get the details offa you. Keep it. I would take my 1995 anywhere.

As Helaire Belloc said, " always keep a hold of nurse, for fear of finding something worse."

Whilst we are on the subject of new and old, I often wondered would a company make a motorhome where you could update the chassis cab but keep your own living quarters. I know they do demountables but they look demountable. In the States before the big boys i.e. volvo man etc took over, they used to do slider kits for trucks . You slid a new running gear under your cab and a truck could be handed down from father to son etc and run for millions of miles. Will that day ever come ?

Jon, looks really good. Does he do half leather and half fabric?

He will cover it in whatever way you prefer Jack, half leather and half fabric wouldn’t be a problem for him. He will give you sample books, pick what you want and he will quote you based on the fabric(s) price per sq/m.
Mine is done in fabric and piped with brown leather, looks good and very tidy work.
He’s a small one man show and usually quite busy but he would give you a date to do it...... as previously stated, parking at mine with services if you or anyone needs to call for a quote as the lad is literally 100 metres from my place.

Looks great, really changes the look.

As it happens I wasbrowsing for a van this evening and came across one on Done Deal for €7,500. When I googled the brand to learn more about it I saw the exact same van on sale earlier this summer on Adverts for €3,800 (seems from the comments that's the price that was accepted). So you may have doubled the value by changing the look....

And beforehand...

The second add is only an asking price should someone choose to pay it.
The proof is the paperwork with the camper, habitation cert, gas cert and sqi cert on the conversion.

Hi Jeff,
Would you be able to contact send details of the person who did the carpets and finished off the edges of the carpets and their location ?

Also could you give info and location of upholstery and their contact details?

Thanks,
KW
