Following on from my MPG post, re our newly purchased 07 Laika Transit ,today hubby fitted the never used spare wheel on the back, and put a slightly damaged outer rear onto the spare carrier. (Not a job for a wet dark night at the side of any road)
Anyway during this process we discovered all four rear tyres around 30psi rathervthan 51psi, and both fronts at 50 rather than 60.
This has to surely cause rolling resistance and higher fuel consumption..........hopefully!

Definitely.
Tyres pressure should be checked every couple of months.
Also check if the valves fitted are steel stems and not rubber stems.
The rubber one leak over time while the steel stems shouldn't if fitted properly.
The stem is the yoke that you clip the air hose onto," Layman terms"

Proper tyre pressure will help but not a lot, biggest problem with low pressures in your rear tyres is they may rub off each other and blow out
