Hi, had my 2015 Burstner CVRT'd yesterday. Noticed that the paperwork has the GDVW as 3650KG. I don't hold a C1 License.
I bought the Camper from the Dealer, he said it was A rated. Does my B License (car) cover me to drive it?

My van weighs 3850 dry so I need a C1. If a vehicle weighs over 3500kg then a C1 is needed.
Whats the GVW shown on your VRC?

Simple answer ,No.
A rated has nothing to do with anything in regarding a Motorhome.
A Class ,B class ,B+ all refer to the build style ,
You need to get the van onto a weigh bridge and find out the actual weight, and start from there .if that is in fact below 35000kg you can go about getting it replated to the lower weight.
The 3650 kg figure is usually a build spec added in the factory to give some payload, that allows the manufacturer to sell the van as a5 or 6 berth.

The VRC has the GVW as 3500. The Plate on the Vehicle has it at 3500. Emailed the Dealer Yesterday and he said it was a mistake. I have to make a few calls on Monday to get the Paperwork sorted! Thanks for the responses to my question.

That sounds great. But you should still get the van weighed, with a tank of fuel and full gas bottle's. So you know what payload you have .
In other words, what stuff you can put in, like your family, all their gear, food, water, without going over the GVW.

The VRC will be based upon the body type approval cert issued by the manufacturers, because it is the manufacturer who create the VIN, Vehicle Identification Number.
Body type approval is in existence since late 2012.
The original dealer who organised the first registration would have it on file. It's not usual for the end user/ customer to be not issued will the body type approval.
The body type approval cert will contain all of the engineering data, including gross vehicle mass.

What does 'A rated' mean. Never heard the term applied to a camper/motorhome.
If the VRC has the GVW as 3500 and the VIN Plate on the Vehicle has it at 3500 then it can be driven on a B (car) licence.
If you overload it and the actual weight is over the 3,500 SEE HERE

The 3500kg is your legal permissible weight.
The 4250 kg is your maximum running mass, as in a combination of mh and trailer.
The 1- 1850 is the max front axel weight while the 2-2120 is the rear axel weight.
It is impossible to load each axel to equal weight so there is a bit of imbalance built into the engineering numbers.
