Knaus Suntraveller Window

 ·
Posted: 16.08.2019  ·  #1
Hi all,

I have a broken window on my 00 Knaus Suntraveller.
The left support arm has broken away from the window courtesy of my son.
Will I need a new window or by any chance can it be repaired?

Thanks!!

You need to buy a new window glass, get the reference number from the old piece and see if you can order it.

Hard to tell, but is the crack on the outside pane or inside?

I guess it’s on the inside as the arm is broken, which presumably cracked the window

Regardless which side the crack is on the vacuum will have been lost between the panes and condensation will become a problem.

It's on the inside lads and the condensation was outrageous. Water up about three inches inside the window!!

Depending on your direction of travel it might be worth while to call into Anchor point or Derek Walsh and ask them to have a look they may be able to drill a hole in the bottom outside corners to at least get rid of the water.

That PM Plastics company in New town. I will call by on Monday when I get home and check out this contact, its not the first time they have come up on here, the address is just a housing estate and the phone number goes to message minder.

I had a window replaced by donagheys few years ago and all done on my insurance.
I'm with axa through the dolmens camper insurance scheme.
Knaus sun traveller.

It happened when I left eurodisney in a hurry to avoid having to pay a second day and forgot about upstairs window being wide open. It broke off completely. A roll of clear duck tape and a heavy plastic bag from a Disney purchase saw us home.

If your really struggling eeco Ltd make bespoke windows but you have to send them the old one as a template.
I picked up on this on the Talbot Owners Club as I have a cracked window on my old Pilote but when I queried prices I decided to work with what I’d got.
Obtainable via google search

Update. Getting the window replaced by Donaghys in Letterkenny. It will be done under insurance as it's quite a large double glazed pvc unit which I reckon will end up bloody expensive!!

Did your insurance rocket after claiming the new window?
