I just read elsewhere that the Whitehead aire at Bentra has been removed. Anyone else able to confirm? We used it quite often.

Not that I know off but I know someone that lives close, I'll ask them to have a look.

Do you however mean the parking or the service point?

Thanks Ally. It's the motorhome service point apparently.

Looks like it's back! Or maybe I should say that whoever put it on Facebook that it was gone, should have gone to Specsavers! (Other opticians are available:)). Sorry for what seems to be a false alarm.

The service point is a sad loss.

It was up beside the golf club, it was very tight for vans over 7m and right beside the road, I personally always use the main carpark beside the marina, far better views and closer to the cafes and bars etc

Yes as FC says, the seafront is still ok. It was the service point at Bentra golf club that was removed, making it much more difficult to stay in Whitehead and spend money there. It was originally situated at the marina but was moved to the Golf club as it was vandalised. Why it has been taken away I'm not sure yet.

You can also still stay at the Bentra grill as long as you eat or drink in their premises.

Check the app for stopovers in the area.

I’ve checked with staff at The Bentra
The aires at Bentra are open.
Whitehead doesn’t have a marina.
I’m not sure what the state of play is regarding the blackhead carpark which is at the seafront near the council boat park and slipway as they are doing work on the path do a lot of it is closed off. I will check later today.

Well it's made a return, whether it ever left I have no idea, but a friend looked the other day and said it wasn't there, although I am now doubting his sanity!

Taken this morning by Darren (big d)...
