Hey, looking for advice on solar panels, want to buy some for the camper that will power the sockets and lights to charger phones and the likes. Also if any 1 has a silent generator for sale I’d be interested 😬

Just bought a 150w panel with controller on E Bay for £150. Our old one was not charging due to water ingress, but was several years old anyway, and technology has improved.

What do you mean by "sockets". The solar panel will charge your batteries. For 240v you'll need an invertor off your leisure batteries.

240w solar system

Have just installed 2+120w panels, with a victron mppt controller. It's a super bit of kit. On Sunday afternoon it was producing 214 w, at 12amps. I think this is pretty impressive. My question is can I disconnect my 12v from engine to the fridge. And connect from my leisure batteries, 2*110 victron deep cycle or the load ports on my controller, fridge is rm4271 electrolux, it is rated at 120w on 12v system

Do the sum .
The formula for Amps is Watts divided by Volts.
Dose your fridge only work on 12volt?

Ah yeah. That’s a fair draw indeed. You cannot draw 10 amps continuously 24/7 from your leisure battery. It will flatten in no time and no amount of solar will replace those amp-hours. The only option is to run 12 volts from alternator power.
