Cecil, get your hands on the Motorhome parking Ireland app, link is www.motorhomeparkingireland.com and it lists the stops all over Ireland. It’s invaluable for a fiver.
There is a few within 20 minutes drive, screenshot below.

I'm looking to do this at the start of autumn, watching with interest. I have the app, so it will probably be the only resource.

Went to the one at lough key,nice non crowded forest site for vans .and lots to see.
