Memory Foam Mattress Toppers

Can anyone recommend a brand of mattress toppers, perhaps made of memory foam?

After a couple of weekend in France, and multiple sleepless nights, I feel the vans cushions could do with and extra layer to make them comfortable. If prefer not to replace all the actual cushions as you can't be guaranteed how comfortable they would be. I do have a fixed double bed in the back so that could be a candidate for a proper mattress but I would have to cut to shape which rules out springs.

Amazon seem to have some toppers and ikea.

We got a full memory foam mattress through Groupon, and we're absolutely delighted with it! Probably comfier then the mattress on the bed in the house 😅

We’ve gust got ours re-upholstered and got an additional 50mm foam added which has made s great difference.
We also have a mattress topper and a coolmax cover on it which has made the bed super comfortable.
The topper is available at https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Coo…-cstpvoWoQ and memory foam available from various suppliers like this one HERE.
Total cost about £60 but money well spent.

We have a two full memory foam mattresses to made bespoke in England to replace the old ones after we bought the van. In terms of toppers a brand I hear good things about on a regular basis is “Duvalay”. Haven’t used them myself but I can defiantly vouch for memory foam 👍

I used EBay too, for the top bed went for 10cm foam and 5cm memory foam and for the U lounge bed just 10cm foam as it was on top of the cushions and it's perfect.

Any links to the exact items bought on ebay? It's hard to know what good and what's not. A lot of the stuff on amazon gets bad reviews so I would think its the same on amazon.

If it is just a topper you are after then I think any brand is fine.
We love ours and couldn't do without it!
Make sure you fet it out and air it whenever you can though...

As mine is two side seats which are two singles or king sized double, I bought a double memory foam topper and cut in half. I then had made from linen bed sheets 4 covers in the shape like a box. 2 on and 2 off. They live under the seat cushion during the day and at night you dont need to try and tuck sheets in just put them on top. They do make a difference.

Duvalay.

I got a 25mm foam topper, with fitted sheets to match.

Expensive, heavy, but transformed the bed in the MH. Those cushions on thier own are crap for sleeping with the valleys running all over the bed.

Dun Elm Mills have a great range of mattress toppers in many thicknesses and they guarantee their products. I know they have shops in the north but dont know about the south You can find them at www.dunelm.com.

I'm in Drogheda so Belfast is not a million miles away. I might pop up and try their toppers. This particular one seems to get recommended and looks like I could cut to shape.

Can be cut easily with electric knife or very sharp bread knife ,a plain one no teeth and keep it upright.

I bought one of the "Regal" memory foam toppers from Homestore. A single size one to test on my little lads bed as he has a crap mattress. I have to say it made a massive difference to his bed and I'm going to pick up a double to test on both my bed and another of the kids beds. If all goes well I might get a 3rd, king size one. Thinking is that we could use them on the kids beds but when we go away in the van they will come with us.

At this stage I can't advise to the long term quality of the toppers but for now it seems good. Granted they are 50% or more expensive than something off eBay and not as thick (6cm only) but they seem to do the job. Strange thing is everywhere I read says memory foam mattresses stink when unpacked for the first time but there is absolutely no smell off these (which had me doubting they were actual memory foam for a while).

Overall happy enough to spend more and buy additional toppers.

Is it me or does anyone find the memory foam mattresses too hot. We bought a memory foam mattress when they first came out and I couldn’t stick it with the heat. At the time it was about £800/£900. We had to give it away and buy an ordinary mattress. I wouldn’t mind an overlay for our MH bead but once bitten

I have to say the memory foam toppers have been an absolute revelation. They have made the van extremely comfortable to sleep in whereas before I had a broken back.

I did notice it a bit warmer but use less blankets. I wouldn't be without one now.

We use ours in the house on the beds and when we go away they come with us.
