Well I went down and put a deposit on this yesterday. Went to see it the week before and was mulling it over. Realised I couldn't see any reason not to, so after another quick look around, I bought it.

It's nothing fancy but it's spotless inside, everything works and it ticks all the boxes for us. looking forward to getting on the road for a couple of wild camping trips now before it get's too cold.

Nice job.

I always think if it is spotless it means someone has cared for it.
A few extras on there too.

Our first van was a 1995 CI Meridien that was built on a Ford Transit under licence by Ahorn in Germany. This was before they started building their own motorhomes.

It was superbly built and I have no reason to doubt that it is not still giving good service to someone somewhere in the Country.

A lovely van.

Cheers Dave :D

I was told before buying it that Ahorn weren't well regarded in the industry but 15 years on and this is still spotless inside. Everything works perfectly, well bar the gas fridge this weekend, and there's no damp whatsever.

Only issue is the rust on the Transit cab but having owned a VW before this i'm used to dealing with that :'(

Ours had an Electrolux Fridge (later Dometic) and we also had a problem when running on gas. We sorted it with the telephone support of a very knowledgeable gas engineer in Newry whose name I was given by Electrolux. It amounted to removing the cover of the burner doing a bit of cleaning and it started to work again. I later fitted a new jet that he sent me and had no further problems.
