Needed a new weed killer sprayer but as I was about to order I see Amazon Prime now doing free delivery to ROI, if you can call it free.

See green bit at top...

It's an item by item thing, many have free delivery but some things don't even ship to ROI, Prime or no Prime.

At £7.99 per month or £ 80 per year, you would want to be doing serious shopping.
I understand that you get access to Amazon music and video for streaming with prime.
However the vast majority of suppliers do not ship to ROI and the madness is that you only find out at the checkout

If you are registered with amazon with an ROI address it normally states if the item ships to Ireland or not. That’s according to my sofa shopping expert.

parcelmotel.com do. I use it most of the time. Some shippers won't ship there because it's not "Mainland UK". The last time I looked "Mainland UK" was GB.

Delivery to ROI

I was trying to buy a set of new rear tail lights assemblies for the Sprinter from a Germany company and could not complete the order because they won't deliver to the UK when I contacted him directly, he had no problems delivering to Ireland and he explained that I should check my preferred address with Amazon / eBay, as his system flagged the no delivery to the UK when it sees the address location and he was spot on, they had it, as my An Post Address Pal in Hertfordshire. which I use when getting free UK delivery and No ROI delivery. So it's worth checking what they have on your account
( I didn't ask what his problem with the UK was ) :D

Speaking of Brexit I see that Theresa May has bought a house in Dunmore East.

That was an April fools joke by John O'Connor of the Munster Express which is sold on a Tuesday. ( 2nd of April ). it referred to a breaking news story yesterday, which was April the first, it caught a lot of people.

I read it in an article dated 3rd April. I'll have to do more research in future into the houses of the british PM.

Yes, I caught it on the Sean O Rourke show where he admitted it was a joke, I think it was on Thursday.

Exactly, I can't seem to see the value in it either. Every now and then they push me for a month's trial and surely it's nice to get somewhat faster shipping but not really worth it in my book.

Most things I buy are fulfilled by Amazon anyways so I do get free shipping if you go about 20 quid, so I rarely pay for shipping anyways.

We love Amazon prime, the series are great, we look at the free postage as a bonus.

It still amazes me that I can order something at tea time from a warehouse somewhere in England and it arrives with us in NI the next day. With the 2 boys working but living at home, we definitely get our money's worth. I now see the movies and music as a bonus. 😉
