Fiat Ducato starting problems

Hi,
Having a problem with my laika 2007,fiat ducato starting.Starts after a few attempts.An odd time let’s of a pop with black smoke.Any recommendations for a good mechanic north county Dublin!

What engine do you have in it and after its started does it run ok
