I was sent dertails on the Irish Military War Museum (IMWM) by Stuarty. I have now enquired if they welcome Motorhomes and can they overnight, I also asked if they had a fresh water tap. This is the reply I received:

Quote
Hi Ally,

Yes we have facilities to park motorhomes and will have a tap in soon with spring water. Our museum is VERY hands on. Visitors can hold de-activated weapons and take photos of our collection! We can bring visiting groups on tour packages around the museum.

We also have a petting farm and playground!

If you would like to pay us a visit, we would be delighted to show you around.
Or if you have any questions just let us know.

Kind regards,
Ian

Well done Ally I will be calling there this year. It is ironic that a 2part series started last Sunday night re Ireland's involvement in World Wars, The last one is this coming Sunday 8th BBC 6pm,I found it very interesting.

Hello I have today visited this place and it's brilliant. We are staying the night in the car park. There is no water tap here and we do need water. Can not trust the water guage.Tomorrow we heading off to Newgrange tomorrow to visit the site and then down to Howth for a couple of days in Dublin. Hopefully staying at the Harbour

We spent the afternoon on a tour by WIlliam and found the place well laid out and very informative staff. If we had children with us and the weather was good there are grounds outside. A small vending machine to get coffee and chooclate bars

Our first wet afternoon here touring the country in 2 weeks.

Sign posts are lacking in finding this venue they are in the process of being made. No height barriers for getting in . If you know a free water tap in the area please let me know

Tania

Stayed here last night. Great pitch but could not find water as they are doing some work over by the toilets. Friendly welcome. We were britstoppers last night;)
Easy walk to Collon for a pint too.

Loved the IWMM as well, we went there with a few other craic'ers and stayed over before we headed on somewhere else.
