Newb needs advice

Hi all
Just doing my prep work here - gonna be buying in the autumn when I retire. Maybe not the place to post this, but I'd welcome some advice.
What I'll be looking for is an LWB fixed bed-van twin/3 - with a spend of about 20k. Seems an Adria Twin might suit or some of the Brit Timberland and Ih types.
Issue is the state of Sterling, obviously. Is there an insurance penalty for LHD? Because German prices seem a wee bit keener than British ones, or am I mistaken?
cheers.

Not aware of any issues with LHD, only aware of engine size and that is over 5 litre.

As part of my research I have discovered that the German campervan company Knobloch, gets translated as 'knob hole removal' on the translated version of Mobile.de. Lol

So, knob hole removals not withstanding, I will be looking for a German Adria Twin 2005-ish in the Autumn I reckon - question from the floor - does the transit plate insurance last into ireland or must I have something set up here ready and waiting?

German dealer we bought from last year said it did. It lasts for 14 days from issue.
However, we transferred insurance policy over from other van, using VIN of new van till Irish plates were issued, just to be sure.

Thanks for that. Any other tips on importing from over there - like is there much give in their prices over what's advertised?
