With heavy hearts we had to say goodbye today to our old friend.
Most brilliant happy memories of our travels with her, it won’t ever be the same again.
Adios old girl, until another time.

Yeah, she is OK Jamie, sort of used to it as the other one has been in with the vet for a week.
Sad time but happy memories.

So agree. We just sold our Labrador's mobile kennel as she can't get in/out due to her arthritis [12 yers old]. She didn't notice me driving it away. We had 6 years of great fun. Best was 3 months in Spain together. Her last trip was to Ventry, wild camping, and she loved smashing in the water.

Sorry to hear your bad news Jon. after 60 years of doing the same thing from time to time it never gets easy to say goodbye to a loyal loving companion and you think I'm not doing it again until an other little scrap shows up.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, it’s incredibly difficult and I thought I’d be strong .... how wrong was I.
Still have our other little whippet who seems to know we need comfort..... won’t leave our heels and lies tight to us when we sit down, bless her.
Time will heal, but our memories will prevail.

went through this on Feb 23 this year and I am still heartbroken and miss badly my little Scottish Terrier... Shadow. We actually bought the van so he could be with us. It's a little bit sad going in it now. Wife does not want to go through this again, but I am working on her to find another little one.
