(mainly aimed at facebook posts)

How many posts about Dicks Field does it take to create the question "Where's that?"

One to post about dicks field
Two to ask "is there anyone at Dicks field?"
Three to question: is there EHU at Dicks field?
Four asking the question "who is dick?"
Five to wonder if you can empty your toilet at Dicks?
Six to worry about their dogs poop "Don't put poop bags in Dicks hole."
Seven drinkers to ask, "Is there pubs near Dicks field?"
Eight to wonder "I'm here is anyone else?"
Nine sleeping under a rock "Has anyone been to Dicks field?
Ten bemused, Why is it called "Dicks field?"
Eleven Motorhoming swimmers "Is the water warm at Dicks field?"
Finally, twelve to ask "where is Dicks field?"

But Ally, everyone is soo out of date.
Anyone who has frequent Ardmore Seaview Motorhome Park in recent times, would know that Mr Dick Power has 2 fields in operation.
Further more his aunt owns a pub in the village.

Which pub?
We were in one opposite a posh restaurant owned by an sprightly 83 year old. Nice lady and the pub was fine. Good local trade

I was told he turned away vans last week as only one field was in operation, anyone know if this is true?

Neither could I, but it was a regular camper there that told my wife and she named the last people to get in.

For the 2019 season, Dick Power is introducing a loyalty scheme.
Over the weekend, he asked for customers to fill out their details, name, reg number, phone number and email address.
He has to control 2 aspects of his business that caused grief last year.
Firstly the control of undesirable customers and secondly customers who are driving away without paying.

So would the loyalty card give one first preference if the site is very full? Or will non card holders be refused? How does it work ?

Doubt it, it would be very hard for him to turn away any Genuine Motorhomes until the field is full, I think it is a tool to keep out undesirables. we signed up for it last weekend, I don't know what the procedure involves now.

A third aspect I see which is more important to his customers is for instance someone sees smoke coming out the fridge vents in a Motorhome etc. he has a phone number associated with the Reg to contact the owners immediately. By the way have anyone got their loyalty card yet

If you can afford €140 a head to eat you wouldn't be sleeping in a field

It’s been a long day😥. I still don’t know if I’m even going to get there this weekend. This work caper is starting to get in the way of my leisure time. That will have to change, and soon. 😡. If it doesn’t, I’ll retire, that’ll show ‘em 😝

Better leave them on the lower headland of Dicks field. No distraction on route.
A big prize at the end of the drive.
Would be like liquid gold at the end of the rainbow.

Was their yesterday morning and spoke to Dick and he did not mention anything about a loyalty scheme or anything about filling out forms etc

He might have been bouncing the idea off some of the regulars to see what kind of feedback he got...

Its a pity he finds himself in a position where he has to do it.

We were in Dicks field last weekend.
Just letting folks know, the sea was full of jelly fish on Saturday.
There also alot of dead ones on the beach.
With the wind and rain on Sunday morning, I didn't bother to have a look.
