Richardson Insurance Solutions have arranged an exclusive insurance facility for the Motor Caravan Club of Ireland (and members thereof) with Allianz Insurance.

motorcaravanclub.com
A piece from their website
the deal is better than the price of the 3 companies who insure campers we have the best deal. Allianz are conservative,(that’s good) and while some people think it’s little bit extra over the two rivals, things they should seriously consider,
, Can you tow a trailer without extra costs, can you do temp or permanent substitution without being charged ? Can you substitute a car for the camper while its being serviced? can you use your camper to go to and from work? Can your camper be your main vehicle ? Can you get repatriation insurance cover while touring the continent ? of course you can,

We do live in a progressive little country with a Government who believes in max competition.
And as members of this great union, we can get insurance cover from anyone of the other 26, just so long as you up sticks and go live there.
But if you live here , Bend over and get shafted by insurance company's and always remember your Government will be be holding their coat while watching for updates and training purpose.

Are they Spouse and Child? I wanted Myself and two children ( Daughter / Son ) but they will only offer Me + Spouse and 1 Child. I had to take open drive 25/70 to cover two children at over €400 it's still not a bad price But I think I'm going shopping.

Wife and 31 y/o son in law. Open drive is dangerous, people might want to borrow it. I always use insurance as an excuse

Borrowing mine is no problem, there is a €25K nonrefundable deposit, :o strange thing is, I've never had anyone borrow it or ask a second time :-/

Lads just one thing to watch for, with the extra drivers. If your other half is insured, but wouldn’t dream of getting behind the wheel, to drive it, if, for any reason you become incapacitated, while abroad, they would be expected to drive you home, the insurance wouldn’t pay to repatriate you, even the miserly few quid Dolmen pay, as there is an insured driver in the vehicle

I think I remember hearing this, and we went for the more expensive option of open drive.
Therefore I wouldn’t have to drive it in above situation just because I have a drivers license.
Do Dolmen repatriate?
We had option at end of booking in with Irish Ferries last year of a special insurance to cover repatriation of Mh?
It wasn’t offered this year.
