Parking ticket in France

Hi, just got a parking ticket at Juno Beach in Normandy. I was parked in a car space so my 7m MH wheel was on a yellow line. The space was the first one along a Kirby line so I left the back wheel on the yellow line so I would be taking up one space. There is no reference number on the ticket so I was wondering if I should expect something in the post when we get home?

Thanks,

Dave

It's possible you got the ticket because motorhomes are not allowed to park where you parked, in some places MHs are not allowed park because of their size just a thought

Go to the Reception at Juno Beach and ask them. I think there’s a Musuem.

We got a parking ticket a few years ago in saintes. The routine was to go to a newsagent/tabac and buy a stamp to cover the cost of the fine. This was stuck to the payment section of the ticket and you also had to purchase an ordinary stamp to cover the postage.
Not heard of people getting parking fines sent to your home address, but lots of people getting speeding fines at present, some months old.

Thanks Jacktherev,

I’m still in the area so might call in to the museum tomorrow.

Going to busy around sites this year because the D Day anniversary is happening.
Normandy is lovely, we’re sort of taken with the western side of the peninsula but there will be lots to see on the main WW2 sites this year.
There is lots of places to park, get the Park4night and Campercontact apps, the paid versions and you’ll not be stuck........ but it will be busy and you’ll find the costal areas particularly busy.
Can’t help with restaurant near Rosslare, but tons on the other side.

Enjoy your trip and keep us updated.

Culletons in Kilrane. Five minutes before the ferry do very good food. It has changed hands in the last week or two, so that might change. There are 2 hotels and a gastro pub in Rosslare strand. All good, Kelly’s a bit expensive to me though. Rosslare strand is about 15 minutes from Rosslare Harbour
