Your MHC "Handle"

There has been quite a few new members lately and like a lot of old timers like me have "unusual" log on names or handles
So thought it might be fun to find out why.
To Start it off here is why I am Heanorboy on Forums

Born un dragged up there snotty nose un all, also covered many positions with Heanor Town FC from Junior section Secretary and Treasurer to full board member as Finance director and in charge of fund raising from organising a Lottery (only in my days it was called a Tote Draw)
to sponsored walks and other daft things to keep the club afloat.

so who is going to spill the beans

David 8-) ;-)

My full "handle" is Blagadán (with a fada), but you can call me Blag ;-)

I have had the nickname "Blag" in the biking world since the late 90's. I can't remember who coined the nickname, but it stuck. I still have a few biking aquaintences that don't know my actual first name. :D

And yes, I am "follicaly challenged"...

And no, I'd rather be called Kevin here and in the real world!

mine was a bit of a joke name given to me by my boss who referred to me as the fat controller instead of the financial controller of the company, due to my slightly rotund figure and after 18 years it has kind of stuck. My wife hates it but I couldn't give a toot

Mine goes back to the late 70s and the CB craze. I was into diving in a big way at the time spending most of my free time underwater around the Wexford coast so when I got into CB radio I picked "Flipperdipper" as my CB handle and it's stuck with me ever since. Aaah the joys of sitting in a car half way up a mountain at 2am talking BS with some other plonker freezing on another mountain

Mine came about as in the local area, anyone named David was named daffy, don’t really know why. However with so many David’s/ daffys it was refined further, and as I’m an electrician I became daffysparks. Another lad became airfield daffy as he lived on the old airfield road, etc etc

Phat Camper is the term used on VW Forum for a coachbuilt VW Transporter as opposed to a van/pop-up type.

Float like a bee, sting like a butterfly.

Mine is the 3 initials of the persons who travel in the motorhome...... mine, the mrs, and the dog !
Trouble is we now have 2 dogs, second one beginning with an “O”.......
but if I add the “O” my handle ends with “FO”.......
bit rude, so it stays JJF !

Not sure if you consider mine one of those long handles, but it's just my initials and I've been using same nickname online since 1996 when I registered my first email account rtv@hotmail.com (no longer in use, don't bother :D).

Funny story is, that when all excited nerdy young me told my dad he was scandalized as he thought I registered into a porn site or something like that... eventually he coped on. :D

Ronnie Barker. He once did a sketch about the dyslexic version of Cinderella, or Rincercella as he saw it.

One of the ugly sisters was called................

Let's say, the dyslexic version of it is Betty Swollocks.

The original sketch may not be available now, but here is a video of another guy telling the dyslexic story of Cinderella.....

Mine goes back to 1974 when I started in the evenings repairing damaged cars and selling some of them to my work mate's in the Cement factory.
The big car dealer then was Dan Davidson, Dungannon who used the slogan Dan's your Man for used car's and van's.
As I lived in the townland of Augharan a smart arse in the factory nicked named me ( AUGHARAN DAN )
Today I am still known locally as Augharan !!!

The motorbike I had at the time (Honda Pan European ST1300) when home PCs came along and forums started. Many bikes since then (and computers) with even a short return to another ST1300 a few years ago. It must be really annoying for some of the ST owners that I got it first and of course it can't be reused on the main forums !
