Hi last year I heard somewhere that some of the tolls were being lifted from parts of Spain. Does anyone know if this has happened.

The toll on the main Mediterranean route, the AP7 was to be scrapped on Jan 1st 2019 but rather than scrap it they made if free from 11pm to 7 am for traffic, trying to make lorries use it then I suppose.
It’s known as the ghost highway for a reason, it’s not used!... the 232 is a good dual carriage way that runs along side it. We only went on the AP7 to get around Valencia.
Not sure about the others.

We drove from Torreviega/Alicante region to Santander early January and only paid 5 euro and some change. Pretty much nearly all motorway too.

I never could get my head around why the Spanish built a non paying motorway beside a paying motorway (A7/AP7) but if they make them all free who cares
