I stumbled across this at the weekend and really enjoyed watching and listening to him again. Younger generations may be forgiven for asking "Fred who?" They don't breed them like him anymore. The next video Laddering a chimney is very educational. If you work in health and safety you may want to look away now.

Doing that job now would require a crane hired in at a couple of grand per day and a bus load of white hat engineers.

He built a replica coal pit in his garden ,but one of his best was taking his wife no 1, (she got fed up and moved out), to Blackpool for a holiday . When they got there she found out he was taking down an unwanted industrial chimney and she was the helper !
