I miss my iphone at times. I struggle with android from time to time. I'd go back to apple in a heartbeat only for the ridiculous price of the handset.

My iphone 6 died so went through my daughters old phones. Got a Samsung something or other, charged it and away we go. Go my iphone fixed last week, new battery and screen. Battery life is about 8 hours. Back on the android.

News alert - Android Phones spy on you! A recent survey by CNET revealed that of the top 20 Android apps, 16 of them reported your data to Facebook. For monetary gain, app developers can sign up to a Facebook API that gathers your data and reports it to them, even when the app is backgrounded. Facebook want to know where you are, what you buy, what you watch and what you listen to, even if you are not signed up to Facebook. Creepy!

Another reason to have nothing whatsoever to do with Facebook.
Also WhatsApp and other apps are being taken over with Facebook..... when that happens I’ll be gone there too.

If folk took the time to understand just what data FB and other apps harvest they’d think twice about having it on any device.
Extremely frightening and dangerous stuff.

Another reason (for me) to have nothing to do with Android OS. Even if you don't have FB, you quite likely are running apps that report to FB.

well i succombed. Bought a new android phone today. Been using a 10 year old nokia all weekend and it destroyed me. Even texting was a chore. Is this what happens? we get so used to androids/iphones doing all the thinking for us that we can handle the old type phones?
Anyway, when i get home and set it up i will have to download all my apps again, so busy night ahead.
