Looking for advise

Can you park up when you get off the boat (at1am) in the docks or is there anywhere very close that you could park up for a few hours

There is an Asda supermarket about half a mile away; I think you would pass it on your way out of town.

If you are thinking of stopping in any of the service stations, be careful. you get the first 2 hours free and they usually charge 25 sterling if you stay any longer.
When we docked at Pembroke last year, i just drove to our destination. good roads, stopped at a service station for 2 hours, rested and moved on.
What direction are you heading

You could call Windmill Hill caravan park they allow late arrivals from the boat and they will do a deal for a short stay on the way back for an early ferry.
51.664677,-4.921265 its about 10min from the docks.

I have not found Pembroke Dock a great place for parking, but if you are coming off the boat at 2am you could go to Aldi, Asda or Tesco car parks and have a few hours but remember to buy something even fresh buns when they open and keep the receipt to prove ,if necessary you were waiting for them to open. Or Go on to Google maps and peruse the area for places like the trucks use you could park up in. There is a carpark in Bush Street with no height barriers on google.

A few years ago we parked in the departures car park when we arrived in pembroke at 2am, no problem, we first got permission from the attendant.

Thanks Europa
That's what I was thinking of doing ok, just come off the boat and go into the departures car park for a few hours, did you just ask the guy on duty in the car park ?

Just remember parking on docks can be noisy as the trucks and dock spotters load the ship you have come off. Then during the night trucks arrive to park or drop and reload with a new trailer. No problem if you are a sound sleeper.

My biggest worry there would be that my snoring might disturb the dockers and truck drivers
Thanks for the good advise

I asked the guy on duty and he suggested parking on the LH side by the fence, we were joined there shortly afterwards by another van. We had an undisturbed sleep. Best of luck, enjoy your trip.

A few years ago, so maybe different now we knew we were arriving in at 2am and I rang a few places. There was a 24 hr Tesco, the manager said unfortunately the barrier registers the vehicle number therefore you can’t stay longer than a few hours. The laybys all seemed to have height barriers.
