Camper is parked for past 3 weeks and now there seems to be a thump or cracking sound intermittently in the cab area when engine is powered off I’ve taken the front off the radio to see if that stopped it but no avail I’m thinking it’s related to the speakers but not sure The battery is not being drained can anyone advise me where to start with this problem

If you think it’s the speaker from the radio disconnect the speakers from the radio and go from there I take it you can remove the radio if not can you get to the back of the speakers if you can upload a photo of where you think the noise is coming from it might give us an idea 👍

Make sure you have the radio code before you disconnect it.

Could be the stepper motor on the heating recirculating circuit.
On some vehicles the flap defaults to closed and the teeth strip on the cog over time and that causes a clicking sound for a few seconds after the engine stops until the motor stops running.
Common on Fords & Renault vehicles, can be a pain to get to if that’s the fault.

Normally from the vehicle supplier, bet if you pull it out and don't disconnect the power it will be ok. nor sure about the type with the removable front, there is still power going to the radio, with the front off

Got it out checked fuse not blown. Still cracking with interference. Removed fuse and all noise gone. Where to go from here ? Going to try a different radio and see if that makes a difference There is some loom of wires behind the radio
