Morning all, As a proud owner of a Hymer, I thought I would seek the advice of other intelligent people. :D
Where would you go to sort a gas problem with your Hymer.?

A gas engineer to keep things legal.....
Or if confident enough then have a go yourself...... do all my own gas work but wouldn’t touch someone else’s.

What’s up with it?

Same issue i had since before christmas Jon. Fridge not igniting, heating not working. I would be competent enough to change the regulator, but I dont mess with anything gas or electrical. Going to book it into Maynooth Motorhomes and let them have a look at it i think.

Best getting this done professionally. Consequences of not getting it right not worth the risk.
Congrats on the purchase - they are brilliant motors

so spoke to Ger in Maynooth motorhomes. Turns out the igniter in the boiler was guntered, and a hose somewhere along the line was gone.
Cost including labour was 390 for a full service on the gas system. I thought this was reasonable enough considering I wouldnt tinker with gas.
Any thoughts.

The igniter is approximately €70-85 euro depending on supplier. After that, I have no idea

Considering that there are 3 or 4 gas powered appliances in the gas system service it doesn't seem too bad for me.
