Today was a very busy day along the W B Yeats berth. there were several groups going to and coming from ,people moving around the lounge she looks like a ship that is going to sail.

Has the saga ended? , W.B. is now after a few hectic days and nights seems to be all cleaned out and shipshape Now as she is expected in Dublin over the weekend will she sail on the 18.00 tide this evening

Never seen so many workers walk on and off a ship that was was supposed to be finished, Again tonight there are an army and most look like they are carrying paint pots, There aint no way she will go tonight.

Its a bit ominous that the other hull was launched today and moored alongside I still think they are going to salvage some parts to cover the penalty fees.

W. B. Is probably waiting for a visit from the Queen. Everywhere she goes, she is preceded by gangs of people painting everything! What you can’t see is the team of plumbers installing the royal ‘throne’ in case she needs to go!

If its any help,what I do is type in google www.fsg-ship.de and then click on about us at top of page and then scroll down to webcam pier . She was still there last time I looked ,the next high tide is 4 minutes past six in the morning, 5.04 our time.

Even if she was ready to depart, assuming she is bound for Dublin, the weather may cause a delay in sailing. The gales that we are experiencing here at present are due over the North Sea by midnight tonight, and may slightly worse than we are getting.

The shipping forecast for sea area Forties (middle of northern part of North Sea) is south easterly 8 to 9, soon (6 to 12 hours) increasing storm 10, later (12 to 24 hours) forecast issued at 11.30 today.

Just went onto Irish ferries site, they're pushing discounts for bookings on her, but , boy, are they dear... Out June 26rd, back July 23rd, 3 adults, MH and Toad, €1425.00.....

The doors are now closed and it looks like casting off time, but now lost the camera, Her route is chartered down from Frensburg and into the Kiel canal ,out into the north sea and she is bound for Cherbourg.That is according to route posted

As crappy as the weather is, I would prefer to see the new crew, learn their new ship in gale force winds in some very busy shipping lanes. No simulation computer training can build up that experience.

I can't see where you think there is competition, anytime it shows up the big profiteers buy it out and go ahead ripping us all off. they should not be even allowed even use the name while sailing under a flag of convenience. If there was true competition the Rosslare/Roscoff route we be open

Sorry am I missing something.... Brittany and Stena both offer direct sailing to France. Is that not competition for the customer. Would you rather not have Irish Ferries on the route. I don't know about anyone else but I have always found Irish Ferries to be the most competitive prices on the French route. Is that not a good thing. I'm happy with them

There hasn't been a bob spent on Rosslare Harbour docking system in decades.
The foot passenger gangway was condemned years ago. Likewise with the forklift delivery system.
Rosslare is operated by CIE, the old irish rail company.
Everything is loaded onto the boat in a single file system while any other port that I have used is a two lane system.
It is sad to say but Rosslare is dying.
In the sad game of politics, it will probably getting a bunch of money from Brexit, which will postpone the funeral.

Anybody following W.B.Yeats may not have noticed that she has turned north and now heading up around the top of Denmark. Did the Capt not trust the engines through the canal or maybe he didnt have enough of change on him for the tolls, strange because it is 250 kms longer that way.Perhaps there were waterworks at the weekend on the canal !

The vessel she is alongside is the Zircon, a bunkering tanker, so I reckon you are right. She is getting a fill, wouldn’t mind getting the nectar points from that purchase.

I can see both your arguments. I am not familiar with the French crossings. But I do know Celtic Link made a very quick exit when they started looking at putting in a sailing from Rosslare to Pembroke. Stena snapped them up, now if that isn't monopolising I don't what is.

Just to piss you all off even more....... at the time I was in discussions with Celtic Link and the fact they were doing this, I had to be quiet then. The suggested fare for a Motorhome on the Rosslare to Pembroke crossing was £80 return.

WB is now in the north sea, she sure has large fuel tanks judging by the time taken to fill them.Hope the capt has got his Applegreen card for the points. She was up to 20 knots but has now dropped back, wind direction plays a big part ,but dont see her in Cherbourg tonight, Tomorrow night would look better
