Just got another email from Comfort, did they mention Fiats by mistake or are we at risk?

Dear Mr
Following on from our previous email in regards to the Ford and Fiat theft update, we would just like to clarify that the underwriters Aviva only need the tracking devices fitted onto the Ford based vehicles.
The information regarding the Fiat based vehicles is just a precaution to inform you that we have seen an increase in thefts in the past two months. Aviva's current security requirements have not changed but we do recommend being extra vigilant at this time.

If you require any clarification please call.

Yours sincerely
Ben Cue
Director Of Operations

More likely they received a letter from Fiat asking for the proof

I have insurance with Stewart's/Aviva (ROI). My MH is Transit based but no requirement for a tracker on my documents. Is this a UK only requirement?

No u-turn. The original letter was worded such it sounded like Aviva required Fiats to have trackers too.

I’ll attach the letter.

I have got the original email/letter but the one I posted is a follow up, it looks like someone had a change of mind or were Fiats mentioned by mistake?.

I got the follow up too but initially I was wondering if my Fiat also needed a tracker.

It seems the scumbags are getting away with Fiats easier than before. Possibly they have got into whatever Fiat database allows them to clone keys via the OBD port. That’s what my alarm installer reckons anyway.
The problem is not (yet?) as bad as with Ford so no mandatory tracker for Fiat.

The areas mentioned in the letter are in the location of a big gypsy camp
