Hindermann Thermal Screens

 ·
Posted: 13.11.2018  ·  #1
Having always had Taylormade Screen covers due to how bulky they are decided to look at Alternatives for my new to me "015 Renault Master Wildax conversion and came across some Hindermann which look a good purchase
https://www.grasshopperleisure…8889-p.asp
Have asked Grasshopper a few questions but does anybody have any comments to offer on these >_<
Looking for something less bulky as storage is a little tighter inside than the last couple of vans I have had
Thanks folks
David

Got a set of silver screens today myself from EBay 2nd hand for €80 delivered from a seller that had changed their campervan to a newer ducatto.

hi
Cant comment specifically on Hindermann Silver Screens but purchased a Hindermann Bike Cover early this year and it is of good quality. I think Hindermann are a German company.

I Purchased from 'Memo Europe' in Holland over the phone....if you ring them there is an English speaking gent 'Simon' who is very helpful. Simon told me he lived in Ireland for 3/4 years and I found him genuine & honest when I quizzed about similar products but with huge difference in price. Might be worth checking out re Silver Screens ! (Phone 010-5190201)

Big surprise yesterday thought that I would see if my nearly new Taylormade covers I had for the Pug Boxer would fit and joy they do well enough to save me buying new.
So next question
Not a lot of room (hence why looking at Hindermann) so had the idea of putting each piece in a vacuum bag has anybody done this (Thought maybe the rollup type)

Hi
Have received a message from Taylormade
they confirm that it is OK to store in the Vacuum bags as they do something similar so going to try this should make a big difference to the amount of room they need

Well bags arrived yesterday bought mixed sizes from Amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/pr…UTF8&psc=1
so a lot cheaper than a "bag" if needed and came with a pump to get the air out.
Centre fitted nicely into the large bag and the sides into the medium used the pump worked well and down to about 6cm thick so big saving so for me worked
On another site someone grumpy said "well no good if wet", but just the opposite as I can still use if wet as the bags will be waterproof so don't have to have them wet through in the shower tray
So for me a win, win

Be careful not to squeeze the bag into a small space just because of it fits in case the bag splits.
Years ago I had a load of 5 x 4 ft cubes of vacuumed packed cleaning rags on pallets in a truck with roller doors. It took us a day and a half to get the doors open when 3 of the bags burst.
