Is this true? I had to rebook Rosslare on the Oscar Wilde because of the W.B. Yeats fiasco. The IF website still allows bookings from Rosslare in September

I texted my ex Irish ferries mate tonight. Oscar Wilde is running into Rosslare until the end of September, but then it is covering the winter route for Dublin to France.
According to Irish Ferries internal proposed schedule for 2019, the oscar wilde returns to the Rosslare /France route from May 2019 to mid September 2019.

BF are usually the most expensive try Stena from Rosslare, I think IF may be finished using Rosslare to France but not sure

The Stena prices are going up as far as I can see, so I booked a flexi fare just now, into Cherbourg though, just in case IF have another nightmare and don’t operate a service to France from Rosslare this summer. Hopefully they will though and I can cancel Stena, as it is over double what I paid IF last June. €847 versus €401

I bumped into my ex Irish Ferries mate, this morning.
His info is that, the boatyard anf Irish Ferries have agreed the final price for the WB Yeats including the compo for late delivery.
The ship is due to be released to Irish Ferries this Friday.
The timetables for the French sailings are prepared and will be released after the ship is secured by Irish Ferries.
Seemingly the WB Yeats will focus on the Dublin / Cherbourg route for 6 to 8 months of the years and during the winter months, the Hollyhead route. WB Yeats will not be docking in Rosslare or Roscoff because neither pier has the necessary ramps for loading, etc.

I am not doubting you, Nilrac, but if you were selling something and the buyer was looking for a discount of the equivalent of a Euro millions lotto draw, you would be very slow to move.
Irish Ferries have staff in training on site for the new ship's systems, etc.
The other point to note here is, will Irish Ferries board commit the WB Yeats to The Irish sea routes or will they charter the ship out to someone else. They have a few well paying charters on the water.
After all of the messing during the summer of 2018, they just about survived on the France route with the Oscar Wilde and the Episilon. A good timetable management and I reckon both boats would easily manage the 3 summer months.
Personally I find it difficult for Irish Ferries to find 3 kms of parking lanes for filling on each trip to France, with current customer dissatisfactions.
The big call in this debate is the custom side of Brexit but currently indications on the policital front is that up until 2021/22 the current status remains.
Irish Ferries market to France will be lead by trucks abandoning the uk landbrigde.

Just a little update, the W.B.Yeats is still at her berth in Flensburg Germany ,but she is all lit up, now is she going to move tomorrow ?

Yes Mr T .Due for delivery in 2020 and Irish Ferries have put 20% down. They should call her Grace O Malley as they are plenty of pirates out on the Irish Seas. W.B.Yeats is due for delivery early December Have a look at www.icg.ie and click on Trading update Nov2018. The Kaitaki is the old, isle of innisfree and a bit of good reading looking at the returns the price of travel will go up not down.

The corridor signage was wrong. The emergency arrows were pointing the wrong way. Some cabins numbers ran in the wrong sequence and on the wrong decks.
Some of the Irish Ferries top brass are flying out in the morning for the photo opps.
WB Yeats is expected to sail at some stage tomorrow afternoon or evening, for Irish waters.

W B Yeats is missing from her berth at the shipyard. Is she eventually coming home?

They may be cutting their loses and stripping her out to finish the one in the drydock.
