Here's our LHD LMC Liberty 6400. Joined the family end of June and has been out for 5 trips so far. Just itching to book a week away at Easter and France in the summer, with several weekend trips too hopefully. Fifth gear is flaky but otherwise she's grand.

Love it.
An era when designers actually had an input and not the usual computer generated crap of today.
Have many enjoyable trips in it, looks lovely.

Nice Van Ginger, you say a bit flaky in 5th gear, if my old memory is correct that model had a four speed box with a bolted on 5th addition like an overdrive and it sometimes needed a gear changed. You might find some more info on the Talbot club web page, same gearbox, and get it 100%

Very nice. I have a 1998 Liberty and the habitation layout from the outside and decals all look very similar to mine. Just the base Ducato is the obvious difference. If it as well put together mine it it should stand you in good stead.

Interesting photo, Gavin. Could I ask where you took it as the spacing between the bays is similar to Cobh. Good ammunition for talking to councils who still think the 6 metre ‘rule’ is supposed to be the norm.

Davy,

It’s Castleblaney, Co Monaghan. I think there was a meet there in the last year. I took this photo 2 weeks ago and it was my first time I have ever been to Castleblaney so it is another good example of me choosing to visit a location First and foremost because Motorhomes are welcome and catered for.

It’s a great location beside the town, playpark, forest, lake. I didn’t notice any services so it looked like minimal expense required - just some white paint and a motorhome sign plus a few Aire signs in the town.

Thanks Gavin, sorry for drifting the thread. You have hit the nail on the head. I keep saying to the councils, “a bit of paint and a few signs” as a cheap option to start the ball rolling. Same with service points. Like Cobh and many others, brick built, 2 taps and a drop point.

An rare old Model

Saw this old Peugeot 504 Motorhome for sale on DoneDeal, it says it is 1985, I would think 1975 would be closer to the mark........

https://www.donedeal.ie/camper…r/20179412

Looks to be in good shape, I never saw one like it before, it was probably built on the pick up version of the 504
