Stayed there last night. Lovely level site with only about half motorhome spaces filled. Cost €10 per 24 hours - max stay 48hours - longest vehicle 6.5m, but ignored. Waste water disposal and toilet waste disposal - electricity via waterways card, available in local shop and also needed for shower. Portumna, Co. Galway is well with a visit and congratulations to Galeay Co. Council and Waterways Ireland.

Pretty sure it was explained by someone on another thread that the 6.5m is the length of the space, no wheels on grass or projecting beyond the space on the tarmac but having an overhang over the grass is fine.

It’s a great facility and we should all use it to encourage more like it. We’ve stayed there a couple of times, and the walk through the woods is great!

Passed through on Sunday of bank holiday weekend ( 5th August ) on motorbike to suss out the aire on the way home.. Full house - all spaces occupied so hopefully this might lead to more such spots. Nice peaceful location - seems ideal so will return shortly with the van.

Stayed here last week, nice pitches , we had pitch nearest toilet with a view across lake and picnic tables. Toilet free but use Waterways card for electric and shower. Very peaceful first day only 2 MHs, next day JCB digger making holes for security cameras and cutting grass, so even more improvements to the marina. 8 MHs second night (midweek).
Guy comes around morning and evening to MHs with black sack to see if you want to get rid of any rubbish.
Depositing toilet cassette is into a small manhole, we didn’t use it as digger was in that area.
One long MH had a notice under wipers indicating the need to use pay machine.
Another though it was free because his 2018 book said free, but big blue sign as you drive in.
Council redeveloped site last year. I have photos but problem posting them.
