Hi all.
Working my way around the wild Atlantic way around Donegal using the app.
It's been great.
Looking at my options to spend a night in Derry
Only one review on the app so looking for some current advise.

Thanks.

Park in the Railway museum car park beside the Craigavon bridge down beside the river on the city side.
That’s where the Derry tourist office told us we should park up.
Worked out fine for us and handy for the city centre. Enjoy.

I had that one earmarked to add Justin, but I visited one Sunday and it looked like the gates ‘may’ be closed in the evenings restricting access to the park so I didn’t add it if that was the case. Will do a bit more digging and try and establish the suitability and get it added if it’s OK. Thanks for the heads-up.

Another option is up at the Yacht club beside the Foyle search and rescue on the Victoria road, although a short taxi ride into city centre. Quiet car park with lots of room right on the river. We’ve overnighted there in the past without issue and I’m trying to get the OK to add it to our APP, but we’ve had no problems there.

Another way would be to park in Buncrana Aire and use the bus service which runs hourly from 08.10 and last bus from Derry 18.10 and pensioners travel cards accepted. It takes 25 mins and leaves you at the Guidhall, right in the centre and no parking worries.

We stayed in Derry last year for two nights in a carpark of a park up behind the Peace Bridge. Near the barracks. The recommendation of a local fellow motorhomer. It was perfect. Only a few minutes walk and very quiet at night. I'll try figure out the location and get back to you.

Hi lads.thanks for all the helpful replies.
Just at the Aire in carndonagh in pouring rain.
Had hoped to do Malin head today but going to wait for better weather tomorrow.
That puts me a day behind so may have to change plans.
Will let you know if I make it to Derry and how i get on.
Thanks again all

Re
Marlin head. Don’t over excite yourself trying to get there. It’s grand and all that.... but after finally getting there last year on our trip around Donegal, it is the one place we would have no interest in going to again in Donegal. A fantastic county. I could spend a lifetime traveling around there. The Inish Owen peninsula is breathtaking without ever having to head all the way to the top. Sorry Malin head people...nothing personal
