Double locking

I have 2010 Ford Transit based Hobby. The double locking feature does not work. I went to a local locksmith to see about fitting deadlocks but he thought the transit should have double locking already on this model. I contacted Ford Ireland and UK but they cannot confirm it was fitted. They did tell me that because it is a motorhome it may not have been fitted. Has anyone got a transit motorhome with double locking on this or similar model?

I'm on the same chassis, I don't think it has double locking, should I turn and hold or do some kind of double turn to try to activate it?

If you hit the remote to locki it and then press again straight away it should double lock it. When double locked you should not be able to open the doors from the inside.

Remote what now? I think that answers your question, mine doesn't even have central locking.

You should have central locking and as Thornwood says hit the remote lock button twice if you haven’t got a remote then you need to get one as I have had three transit Motorhomes all with central and double locking but some models don’t put it on the motorhome door you can test the door switches by keeping switching the door lock with the key to lock until the indicators flash and the you can test all the lock and unlock switches one at a time also the ajar switches as each time you operate one of them the indicators should flash if it doesn’t then that switch is faulty if you don’t operate any switch for a short period the indicators will flash and it will go out of test sorry if this is long winded but try it and you will see how it works Edd

That's why I am looking at getting dead locks fitted.
