Lokks like a UK fitting on that cylinder?

Might be awkward finding one of them in the south if it is,

That's a uk fitting, more precise a BOC Fitting.
Good news and bad news.
Good news, calor gas have a gas bottle distribution yard in Cork
7A, Forge Hill Business Park, Forge Hill, Ballyphehane, Cork, T12 X625

The bad news is that calor ireland doesn't stock a 6 kg propane red cylinder .

That it White gate is the refill spot.
For memory I think that there was a post here from last year or so that highlighted calor gas suppliers who provided uk cyclinders. There was 3 or 4 mentioned based around the ferry ports of Dublin, Rosslare and Cork.
However maybe some of our northern friends may have a solution for you .
Would I be right in saying that your 6 kg is your spare cylinder, and this is the maximum size that will fit?

There is a place in Wexford, about 3 miles outside the town, definitely used to fill cylinders. Bensons of Newbay

If you’re thinking long term, it’s hard to beat fixed refillable.
Hefty outlay to install but you’ll never have this problem again.

I called my dealer in Bray today who advised 6kg propane or butane cylinders are very rare in Ireland ,and the camping gas way is very expensive way to go. you can get an adapted for the BOC bottles, if you can get a main depot who fills .

Why not switch to flogas 5kg propane gaslight, helps to keep the weight down as well. Also available in 10kg. Cylinders are lightweight and semi-translucent, so you can see when gas level is getting low

Not all suppliers stock the refills,
May be awkward trying to find a refill if touring

I would answer via PM as not strictly legal
