I was passing through portumna, on our way to ennis, saturday evening about 5 pm and there were six vans as well.

we were there a few times before the charge and it was full each time.
It was gone to the stage that you could not plan to go as it was almost definite that there would be no space.

i have always thought that there should be a small(I mean small!) charge and a stay limit for popular spots.

Theres a few in the village which is a 10 min walk from the harbour (cant recommend any as when i was there i didnt go in any ). You have to go into town to buy a waterways card at the Supervalue supermarket ,unless like me you carry one like me in the van because you have bought a bigger one than you need :'( . hope it doesnt expire :D

I was there last week and it’s a great place with very good facilities. Had my breakfast in the Blue Cafe which is excellent and very reasonable. Excellent food.
